No Oktoberfest 2021 – Why you can especially look forward to the Wiesn 2022!

From 1810 to 2021 the Wiesn has already failed 26 times or there was a replacement festival. Reasons for this were for example the two world wars, 1854 cholera or the inflation 1923/24. Therefore, next year, not the 212th but the 187th Oktoberfest will take place. In 2020 & 2021 the Oktoberfest has to be canceled for the first time in 70 years due to the Corona Pandemic. Meadow landlords, showmen, market traders, breweries, and visitors are nostalgic, but we will show you why and what you can look forward to in 2022.

Collectors watch out: Also in 2021 Wiesnkrüge with the nostalgic motif of “Maria Elisabeth Dick” will be available online in a limited number of pieces.

Look positively towards 2022:

• Rumors about the extension of the Oktoberfest 2022: At this point, it is still difficult to say whether the Oktoberfest 2021 will last a few days longer or not, but the rumor mill is bubbling on Twitter and Co.
• Fill up your strength for 2022: A visit to the Oktoberfest for several days can be quite exhausting. Take a year’s break and we’ll see and feel fresh, healthy, and recovered again in 2021!
• No overcrowded public transport September & October 2021: This year there will be no full trains & no drunks on the S- and U-Bahn during the Oktoberfest. Also, the noise level for residents around the Theresienwiese will be eliminated and traffic blocks and above ground hotel prices will be eliminated in 2021.
• Review the last Oktoberfest season 2019: Now is a good opportunity to finally practice text confidence.

But one thing is clear: Not even the comparatively empty public transport in September and October will be able to cheer us up.  The mixture of warm September air, the smell of fresh almonds, laughter, and the first sip of beer will be missing in 2021. But we are looking forward to 2022 all the more!
