The Augustiner Festzelt, located in Munich at the Wiesn and run by Manfred and Thomas Vollmer, is considered a family-friendly tent and has many regulars among its visitors – also due to the particularly friendly waiters who serve their guests beer in the tent with a smile on their faces. A reservation request in the Augustiner Festhalle is particularly worthwhile if you would like to try the Oktoberfest beer, which is still served here in authentic 200-liter wooden barrels (so-called Hirschen). The Augustiner Festzelt also brings together regulars from Munich’s biggest beer gardens and pubs and offers plenty of fun and action once a week (on both Tuesdays), even for the youngest visitors. If you don’t want to miss out on regional food and the best quality at the Wiesn, you should reserve your seats in the Augustiner tent. The Augustiner Oktoberfest band under the direction of Reinhard Hagitte ensures a good mood and a cozy atmosphere. Food vouchers that have been purchased in advance at the Augustiner-Festhalle but not used can be redeemed at the Augustiner Bräustuben (Landsberger Straße, Munich) until November 1 of the same calendar year (no payment and no refund of remaining value!).
